"Eternal Zone," launched in Japan in 2006, was the first massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) designed for mobile phones. It allows tens of thousands of players to connect to the same persistent game world simultaneously and work together in parties of up to three people to take on gigantic monsters and other challenges. The game's chat system also lets players communicate while they explore the expansive game world.
